NRHNA Board Meeting Minutes, August 21, 2000

Place: Fire Station 26

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Chair Tom Hodgson. Attendees included Tom Hodgson, Jeff Trager,
Nancy Stephens, Mike Stults, Mary Alyce Burleigh, Karen Tennyson.

Neighborhood Survey: Survey needs to be completed this Fall. Meeting will be held September 12 to finalize the Survey so that it may be mailed with the next

NRHNA Newsletter.

WILLIAMSON PROPERTY (the 1997 addition to Woodlands Park) - Potential Future Park Usage - City Parks Board would like our NRHNA input on potential development options, usage suggestions for this land adjacent to our Woodlands Park and Fire Station 26. A tour to be conducted by the Parks Dept will be held at 6:00 pm on September 12, departing from the Fire Station to aid in considering options. 

Transit Oriented Developments (T.O.D) - Mike Stultz gave an update regarding Affordable Housing Options. T.O.D. is seeking input, vision and support from neighborhood associations. Locations currently under consideration include D.O.T. (Dept of Transportation) lands in Kirkland, King County and Bellevue locations.

National Night Out - Discussion occurred regarding the proposal for our neighborhood to establish a program in recognition of this for next summer. A way to expand neighborliness, safety and sense of community in NRH.
