It was suggested that a leaflet be prepared that we can distribute to our neighbor's homes during the week prior to the picnic to encourage attendance. Last year we had over 400 guests, how many more can we get to participate this year?

COST to participate: FREE

OTHER BUSINESS:
* The Board voted to purchase a $350 paver with our logo and name engraved to be placed on the walkway to the new Kirkland Meeting Hall at the foot of Central and Market in Kirkland. This is a fundraising activity sponsored by the Kirkland Heritage Society, proceeds being used to renovate the old Christian Science Church, built in 1922, for use as a public meeting hall in downtown Kirkland.
* Safe Walk Routes letter is being reviewed by Board members for submission to the City Council.
* Parks Committee: Jeff Trager and Pierre deVries reported on current neighborhood items under review.
* Forbes Lake - current consideration to have a boardwalk added around the city owned portion of the lake front by 2003-2004. A baseline water quality study is needed prior to ANY future development.
