GENERAL MEETING of the North Rose Hill Neighborhood Association

Treasurer's Report:
$2688.00 in "Rollover" Account
$ 510.38 in Regular Account

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

1. HONDA Expansion - Committee has been meeting w/Larry Mallory. Next step, Lowry will apply for a zoning change to business. Process could take a year or two. At the SRHmeeting, it was noted that the Bellevue dealership is not as large and is not trying to expand.
2. KAN - Unincorporated areas are asking to join KAN. There are KAN Committee openings, open until Friday March 21.
3. PARKS BOARD - Evaluation in process to determine whether to have a park bond. Looking at the rebuilding of the Marina Park Restrooms.
4. PLANNING COMMISSION - dealing with the North Rose Hill Comp Plan.. Meeting will be on March 26, at 7:00 pm, in Kirkland Council Chambers.

OTHER BUSINESS:

DAVE RAMSEY presented his State of the City Update to the NRHNA:
1. NE 85th - Plan will be implemented. Sidewalks to tie with Sound Transit. Need to develop a method to move buses efficiently.
2. HONDA - We need to see each other's side of the issues. Balance is needed between tax revenues and neighborhood. Possibility of looking at different housing types in connection with the proposed HONDA expansion.
3. DOWNTOWN - 30 members are on an Action Team to review: Parking to attract retailers; Transit Center location; Big White Ship may be moving in about a year. City wants to connect PARKPLACE to the "Downtown" . Bookstore is enlarging to about double it's size.
4. TOTEM LAKE - Wants to redesign and enlarge.
5. EVERGREEN HOSPITAL- Wants to double in size.
6. Overpass under consideration at 128th
7. JUANITA VILLAGE - construction progressing.
8. ANNEXATION - of Finn Hill, Kingsgate, North Juanita areas are on "back burner" for economic reasons. 
9. TRANSPORTATION - Speed Cushions on 126th and 128th Aves.
10. SLATER - Traffic circles being proposed for calming.
11. SAFE SCHOOL WALK ROUTES - Sidewalks on NE 95th between 124th and 130th.
12. 100th ST OVERPASS/ I-405 - Forecast completion in July or August, 2002.
13. PARKS - Restroom Dntn, McAuliff property, bonds, School-City partnerships for Parks.
14. TREES - Trade off between property rights, views, etc.
15. WETLANDS & BUFFERS
16. CITY WEB PAGE has been revamped.
17. PEDESTRIAN SAFETY - Adding a crosswalk at 97th or 95th.
