Conversation on whether the June mailing to promote the July Picnic should be the number two mailing and the suggestion to hand deliver flyers to residences would be an effective way to get the word out.  Arthur Best offered to ask at his church for volunteers to deliver the flyers in late June.

Presentation and request for help from NRH Neighbors Megan and Paul Elrif

Megan and Paul have lived at 12918 NE 86th for the past eight years.  When the development was built, the city required a pedestrian easement pathway for connectivity which is on their property within 3 feet of their house.  The problem is, the pathway ends at the back of their property and does not look like it will ever be connected at the other end.  The neighbor’s property that would have been the connecting piece has been sub divided and the owner was able to do so without making the connection be required.  The Elrif’s have problems of people coming to the end of the pathway and walk through their back yard, get on their deck and look into their windows.  Teens come back there and drink and smoke leaving their trash behind.  The Elrif’s have been to the city on many occasions asking that the easement be dissolved to no avail, so they came to the meeting to get support from the NRHNA.

Angie Kupler, new to the NRHNA but has lived in NRH for two years is interested in promoting the Neighborhood website.  Angie is interested in a forum or chat area on the site to share neighborhood issues or creating a neighborhood help and answer forum. Such as, I had a new roof installed and the company was great here are the name and the contact, or I have a gardening question, does anybody have a suggestion, and so forth.   She suggested Google groups and she would be glad to monitor the rules of usage for it not to become political forum or blasting neighbors verbally.  We will forward her email to Milt Olson our Web Guru to see if they can get this started.
