General Meeting of the North Rose Hill Neighborhood Association

Arthur Best introduced the Board members

 

Carole Olson is our new Welcome Packet caretaker--thank you Carole

 

Arthur read a thank you card from Mayor Lauinger thanking Margaret Carnegie

 

Milt Olson was appointed to the board. One other position is still open.

 

Neighbors are needed to post signs for the neighborhood meetings. Neighbors interested should sign up on the back of the sign-in sheet. Be sure to note you are a “poster” and your e-mail address or phone number are clearly readable to get posting and take-down reminders.

 

The traffic calming median planter has been installed at Slater & N.E. 100th

 

Woodlands Park Tot Lot across from Mark Twain Elementary School is not an official city park and we will need some neighbors to help with maintenance at the end of the school year.

 

Officer O’Neill from the Kirkland City Police spoke. He said that car prowls are the biggest crime problem in Kirkland. Information on How to protect your car

 

Michael Cogle reported on the Forbes Lake development plan. Forbes Lake and Park Improvement Plan .

 

Jay MacGillivray & Betsy Adams presented information on recycling in KirklandKirkland recycling program.

 

Bob Forgrave; discuss North Rose Hill survey results

Bob read a letter to Public Works & Council Members about the neighborhood top priorities.  Copy of letter

 

Karen Tennyson reported on the Planning Commission meeting.

There was some disagreement on the choice of the chairperson for the Kirkland Buy Local committee.

A letter was sent to the Planning Commission expressing our opinion on the choice of leadership. Copy of letter.
