Board Meeting Minutes
August 17, 2009

Meeting called to order 7PM by Margaret Carnegie

Attendance: Margaret Carnegie, Dave Boyer, Kaylee Nilan, Milt Olson, Mike Stults, Patti Sutter,

Picnic discussion:

Dave Boyer reported: all extra food was consumed

Margaret will follow up for refund of the banner installation. We should have had the banner over 124th NE. We must make sure we sign up with the City in early January of each year.

We should keep the two bouncers’. Both were in use all the time and that kept the line short. The two attendants were very good and attentive.

We need to simplify the contracts and lists for requirements for organizing picnic. Maybe at the October board meeting go over the picnic checklist and procedures

Dave is retiring from picnic committee. We will need to find someone to head the picnic committee for the 2010 picnic

Tot Lot Discussion:
An equipment fund or maintenance for the Tot Lot is not something we feel the Association wants to take on, unless there is someone in the neighborhood who wants to take the responsibility. At this time we have no answer from Kari Pagi on just where the city stands.

Meeting "Greeter" needed:  Patti Sutter said she will be meeting greeter

Meeting signs:
We need to make sure we have meeting signs on arterials. We don’t need any more signs at this time.
KAN is considering having neighborhood associations’ purchase meeting signs as group. We don’t need any more signs at this time.

Do we want an Electronic newsletter?   What and when?
Patti will work on a North Rose Hill newsletter.

We need a representative for the September October food drive.
