Announcements:
You are invited to the Redmond City
Council’s public hearing to provide comment on the proposed St. George’s Coptic
Orthodox Church annexation. The proposed St. George’s annexation is comprised
of two lots located at the northeast corner of NE 100th Street and
132nd Avenue NE.
The hearing will be held at the
Redmond Council Chambers as part of the City Council’s meeting on May 18, 2010
at 8 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible. The Council may take final
action on the proposed annexation that night. If you cannot attend the public
hearing but wish to comment on the annexation, then please send your comments
in writing before May 18, 2010 to the Office of the City Clerk at PO Box 97010,
Redmond, Washington, 98073-9710.
If the City Council approves the
annexation after the public hearing, then the property will be part of the
Redmond and will be subject to Redmond’s development regulations exclusively.
Until then, Redmond cannot consider an application to develop the property
within the proposed annexation area because the property is not yet within the
city limits of Redmond. If the annexation is approved and if any development
application is made, then there will be notice of the opportunities for public
comment on such an application.
I do appreciate your interest and
welcome any further questions you might have. Feel free to contact me.
Best regards,

St. Georges Church Proposal:
132nd and 100th, includes two lots. The property in
discussion is currently Unincorporated King County. The Church is requesting the City of Redmond
to annex their property so that when they go in for building permits they will
be following City of Redmond requirements.
If we as neighbors have any concerns we should attend City of Redmond
Council Meetings, and or write in letters to the council with our
comments.
